Brain-Stains was founded in 2010 by John Ross Rist. Rist is a fine artist based in NY. In 2006 He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA Painting and Illustration.
Growing up in the 80's greatly influenced the young artist. As a child Rist frequently visited the Bronx to watch baseball games. there, he got his first look into the world of graffiti and was amazed by the bright pieces he saw. Now Rist has transferred his art approach from the streets to the commercial world. His designs can be seen on t-shirts, hoodies, flannels, jackets, hats and other accessories available here.
